Muhammad Azam is a seasoned commercial and contract management professional with 30 years of experience across major construction, infrastructure, transportation, residential community, hospitality, leisure, and building projects in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Pakistan. His career reflects deep expertise in commercial planning, estimating, procurement, tendering, contract management, quantity surveying, risk management, client relationship management, supplier management, and commercial administration.

He has held senior commercial and quantity surveying roles on some of the region's most significant developments, including Neom Industrial City (OXAGON), The LINE, Trojena, the Madinah Haram Expansion Project, the Haramain High-Speed Railway, Dubai World Central airfield and infrastructure works, and major roads, bridges, utilities, and community infrastructure schemes in the UAE.

Throughout his career, Muhammad has provided commercial leadership across both pre-contract and post-contract stages, including RFP management, tender documentation, employer's requirements, commercial proposal evaluation, contract administration, change management, claims and variation assessment, interim and final payments, cost control, cost-to-complete reporting, subcontract management, procurement coordination, and contract closeout.

He is recognized for his structured commercial approach, analytical judgment, attention to detail, and ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in complex project environments. He works closely with clients, consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, government authorities, planning teams, construction teams, and project leadership to support sound decision-making, contractual compliance, and value-driven project delivery.

His technical capability is supported by strong working knowledge of FIDIC Red Book, FIDIC Silver Book, Public Works Contract KSA, re-measured, lump sum and cost-plus arrangements, as well as traditional, design and build, and framework procurement routes. He is also experienced with key measurement standards including CESMM3, CESMM4, SMM7, NRM2, and POMI.

His leadership experience includes managing and mentoring commercial teams, establishing change management processes, maintaining contract registers, claim logs and variation logs, overseeing payment cycles, preparing financial and cost reports, and supporting final account negotiations.
